What’s bran?
- It is the outermost layer of the cereal grain. The bran, which contains most of the fibre, is removed when the grain is milled to produce white flour. // broken husks of the seeds of cereal grains that are separated from the flour by sifting.
The unrefined bran (tough husks) is separated from the cereal grains.. the bran is removed from the grain, not the grain removed from the bran, the grains are more important to produce white flour. But did you know that bran is really good for health? High in fibre, Vitamin B and is used to enrich baked goods & is a nutrient supplement.
Flour is good~ but bran is full of goodness too, even though it was unrefined & rough.. and removed from the finer grain at first ;D Adding bran to food makes it nutritious and good for health and makes food even BETTER!!~
